Information You Give Us
The free roof inspection form
When you request a free roof inspection, the form asks for your name, phone number, email address, and the city where the building is. You can also choose to tell us the building type, the roof type, the approximate roof size, and add a message.
When you send the form, your request is emailed to Shield Roofs. We use what you send to contact you, schedule your inspection, and prepare your proposal.
Calls and texts
You can call or text us at (518) 612-0001. When you do, we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us or send us, such as photos of your roof. We use it to respond to you and to handle your request.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
If you email us, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them to reply.
Information Collected Automatically
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like most websites, it processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. Cloudflare uses this information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. You can read the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Spam protection
The inspection form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person, not an automated program, is sending it. Turnstile looks at information about your browser and device to do this. It is used only to block spam.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies, to understand how visitors use this site. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising cookies. Cloudflare may set a small cookie needed for security and spam protection.
Maps and Video From Other Companies
The maps on this site are pictures until you click them. When you click a map, the interactive map loads from Google Maps, and Google may collect information about your visit as described in the Google privacy policy. If you don't click the map, nothing is loaded from Google.
The site doesn't embed any video at this time. If we add one, it will load from YouTube only when you click play, and Google's privacy policy will apply to it.
How We Use Your Information

How Long We Keep It
We keep form submissions, including the IP address and approximate location of the device used, for up to 12 months so we can respond and follow up, and then we delete them. If you give us your email address, we may also send you occasional emails from Shield Roofs, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
Keeping It Safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive personal information, such as financial account numbers, through the form or by text.
